She played with the zip at the bottom of her foot. At first, I thought it was stuck, but then I realized she was deciding how high she wanted the zip to go.
I followed her hands as they moved up to the centre of her leg, from her knee up to her thigh, and she didn’t stop there. The zip revealed her entire leg. She paused for a second and moved it down an inch lower. When she stood up, one leg remained closed and the other open.
Only then did I realize that the pants weren’t the sheath that covered her legs, but the frame the legs were cast into.
