12 Holiday Looks That Capture This Season's Biggest Trends
Photographer: Anubhav Sood | Creative Direction & Styling : Garima Doshi | Location: café Dali

T his year has introduced a fresh, modern viewpoint on holiday dressing. Sculptural textures, fluid tailoring, high-shine finishes, and the return of confident 2000s prints have collectively redefined how December style feels today. The season leans into versatility with a certain ease—pieces that transition seamlessly from one moment to the next. Sequins are treated as true fabrics, lace carries a more structured presence, and sheer layers offer a controlled sense of allure. Even the colour palette has expanded, balancing deep neutrals with rich, saturated tones.

At Sverve, we wanted to translate this shift into something thoughtfully curated for the Indian luxury consumer. Shot inside the surreal setting of Café Dali, each look in this edit has been styled as a complete, directional ensemble—twelve refined interpretations of the season’s key ideas. Instead of a traditional holiday shopping list, this is a considered style guide meant to bring clarity and confidence to your wardrobe. These pieces are meant to last beyond the festivities—modern, elevated additions with long-term relevance.

Dress and Bolero: Shriya Som, Jewellery: Miss Jo

Some nights in the holiday season call for a true show-stopper, something that makes an impact the moment you walk in Shriya Som’s crystal fringe dress delivers exactly that, with layered embroidery that moves and catches light in the most couture way.

The embellished fur bolero by Shriya Som amplifies the entrance, offering a hint of theatrics before you slip it off and let the dress take over. We paired it with a stack of Miss Jo solitaire necklaces and a cocktail ring for a soft shimmer that enhances the look without overwhelming it. It’s the look you choose for countdown nights, milestone evenings, and any celebration where the brief is simple: make an unforgettable entrance.

Brown Sequins as the New Evening Neutral

Dress: Citara, Jewellery: Miss Jo

Brown is emerging as the new neutral of the season, offering depth and sophistication that feels right for the holiday moment. In sequins, the shade becomes even more compelling. Citara's halter-neck gown embodies that balance. The silhouette is quietly timeless, a shape that never dates, while the brown sequins introduce a contemporary, polished edge.
A halter neckline offers the perfect frame for a Miss Jo lariat necklace, and sculptural earrings bring subtle definition without interrupting the dress’s natural movement. It’s a considered choice for black-tie weddings, formal dinners, or evenings where refined, understated glamour feels right.

Some invitations give you a vibe but no real dress code. This rhinestone sweatshirt dress from Itrh gets that mood perfectly. The black-and-silver houndstooth with crystal detailing feels easy and comfortable on its own. When paired with MellowDrama’s long lace skirt, it instantly leans dressy without trying too hard.

The lace adds a soft, romantic touch, and the sparkle hints at holiday shine without going over the top. It’s basically the grown-up, stylish version of an ugly Christmas sweater, perfect for those dinners that turn into long, unplanned nights out.

Blazer: Geisha Designs, Trousers: Essé, Jewellery: Uncut by Aditi Amin<, Bag: Tanned

Ivory suiting is shaping up to be one of the most relevant holiday statements of the year, and this look nails the trend with quiet precision. The Ivory Blazer Set by Geisha Designs brings sleek structure, while the lace trousers by Essé introduce softness and dimension, a combination that’s been building momentum since the blazer-and-lace wave of 2025. With Pantone naming Ivory (Cloud Dancer) as the Color of the Year, the palette feels especially in tune with the season’s mood of calm luxury. It’s the perfect holiday alternative for anyone who wants sophistication without sparkle, and a look that transitions easily from intimate dinners to elevated celebrations.

The asymmetrical shoulder adds just the right amount of interest, and the soft draping gives the gown an easy, graceful flow. Dress: Beyond, Jacket: Citara, Necklace and Earrings: Mnsh, Rings: Uncut by Aditi Amin<

This season, the most interesting trend isn’t just throwing a jacket over a dress—it’s layering dresses in a way that feels fresh and intentional. Citara’s gold-fringed piece makes that idea feel easy. It works beautifully as both a dress and a jacket, adding texture, movement, and a soft shimmer that instantly elevates anything you pair it with.

We styled it over Beyond’s lace maxi, which acts as a clean, structured base and lets the gold layer take the spotlight without overwhelming the look. Together, the two create a modern, luxurious silhouette that feels editorial but completely wearable. It’s the kind of outfit that works for holiday dinners, cocktail nights, or any evening where you want to walk in looking confident and effortlessly put together.

Dress: Dewar, jacket: Studio Medium, Bag: Tanned, Jewellery: Uncut by Aditi Amin<

Brown is quietly commanding this holiday season, and suede is its ultimate expression. The DeWar suede dress pairs classic ruching with a midi silhouette for an elegant, understated statement—dressy without needing sequins or sparkle.

We added Studio Medium’s blouse as a structured jacket, and it instantly sharpens the outfit. The defined shoulders and crisp lines give the suede a modern contrast that feels thoughtful and stylish. To finish, Uncut Gems' cuff and rings add a touch of shine—just enough to catch the light without taking away from the simplicity. It’s a look made for dinners, small celebrations, or any evening when you want your style to feel calm, confident, and quietly luxurious.

Blazer and Skirt: Noib, Jewellery: Studio Metallurgy

Bold prints are back in a big way this season—think eighties-inspired with florals, leopard, and graphic motifs leading the charge. Noib’s blazer-and-skirt set nails this mix, giving holiday dressing a modern, playful edge while keeping it wearable. What makes it even better is the versatility. You can wear the full set for festive brunches or evening plans, and then break it up after December. It's that rare balance of statement and practicality.

To complete the look, we added Studio Metallurgy's Gulmohar Choker, a deliberate maximalist-on-maximalist choice that feels right for daytime celebrations or gatherings where people genuinely appreciate an expressive style.

Dress: Ohfab by Aanchal and Akshita, Hair pins and Cuff: Mnsh, Earring: Uncut by Aditi Amin

Ohfab’s Durru Gold Kimkhwaab dress sits squarely in one of the biggest fabric stories of the season: high-fashion tissue silk. The material has become a runway favourite for its liquid shine and this silhouette lets it move beautifully without tipping into occasionwear territory. The soft tiers keep the look playful, while the quiet gold tone feels instantly festive for holiday lunches, evening get-togethers, or events where you want something elevated without going full glam.

We finished the look with Mnsh’s delicate hairpins to keep the neckline clean and the mood effortless. It’s an easy, trend-driven holiday outfit—light, modern, and built around one of the most talked-about fabrics of the year.

Deepika Arora’s Shimmer Collection is a study in understated luxury. The structured cape and shimmer skirt give the ensemble a sculpted, formal presence without reflecting light directly onto the face, keeping the look refined rather than showy. It reads as polished and sophisticated, a subtle statement for holiday evenings where elegance matters. Pairing the set with minimal, carefully chosen Jewellery completes the look, letting the textures and craftsmanship speak for themselves while adding just the right hint of shine.

A Bubble Top Moment

Skirt: 431-88, Top: Geisha Designs, Necklace and earrings: Miss Jo, Rings: Uncut by Aditi Amin<

A strapless bubble top by Geisha Designs paired with 431-88’s embellished pencil skirt taps into one of the season’s most interesting directions: sculptural volume meeting fine, detailed beading. The top brings a soft, playful shape, while the skirt offers that clean, refined structure—an unexpected pairing that feels modern in the best way.

Worn together, they strike a balance between bold and thoughtful. It’s the kind of look you reach for when you want something fresh and conversation-starting without feeling overdone. Perfect for holiday dinners, creative gatherings, or nights when you simply want to show up feeling like the most polished version of yourself.

Blazer and Skirt: ANSVER, Jewellery: Miss Jo

To close the holiday edit, we returned to what has quietly defined the season: lace and chocolate brown. Ansver’s Athena blazer dress sets the tone with its sharp, confident shape and rich neutral hue, a clear shift away from obvious festive shine toward something more refined. It feels modern, intentional, and perfectly suited to evenings that call for presence without excess.

Layered with Ansver’s Gala sheer lace skirt in the same brown tone, the look leans into lace as one of the year’s most enduring trends. Soft yet directional, it brings movement to tailored dressing and signals a style story that will continue well into 2026. Finished with Miss Jo statement earrings and rings, the final look feels festive without being loud. It is a calm, confident note to end on, rooted in the moment and already looking ahead.
